![]() We have selected a florist! Blossom Loft will be creating our flowers for the wedding. They have two stores in California and do special events in Wisconsin. I will be carrying red roses and the bridesmaids will have carrying a mixed bouquet of lime green flowers. I can't wait to see the beautiful flowers! ![]() My good friend Sarah Kunde is getting married 3 weeks before me. Her parents bought her a beautiful bracelet to wear on her wedding day. She is going to let me use it as my "something borrowed" on my wedding day. What a special way to honor our friendship! ![]() I was surrounded by some very special ladies this weekend! We began the fun at Edith's Bridal to get a sneak peak of my dress. All agreed that it is beautiful! Then we went for lunch at Gino's Italian Restaurant. Delicious! From there we went over to the Microtel Inn where we had a conference room reserved. We spent the afternoon putting together the favors for the wedding and napkin folding! Thank you to all who joined me for this great weekend. It is great to know how much support Andrew and I have! ![]() I don't think I have ever seen a bigger smile on Andrew's face than the day I told him he could register at Fleet Farm for the wedding! He was so excited to get the scanner and start adding items to the list. An hour and half later the registry was built! ![]() We have booked our honeymoon cruise! We decided to try Men's Warehouse. Twenty minutes later we had picked out a suit and Andrew and Allan were measured. It's true, they liked the way they looked! ![]() Cherie entered Andrew and I in a drawing at the Ultimate Wedding Showcase for 2 glasses of champagne and dessert at Lombardi Steakhouse. We won! Thanks, Cherie! ![]() What a fun morning at the Raddison in Appleton! I was lucky to have my mom, Cherie, and Brittany with me! We started out by watching the fashion show. The show began with some singing DJ and dancers....interesting to say the least. The dresses in the fashion show were the hottest dresses for 2012-2013. Guess what?! My dress was in the fashion show! I knew I had great taste. It was fun to see the way it looked as the model walked; although, I know it will look better on me! A new trend is to have a photo booth at your reception. We got to test out many photo booths, the picture on the side is us having fun in a photo booth. We ended our wedding show experience with lunch at Good Company. Yum!
![]() The champagne glasses we will use on our wedding day were a gift to me on my 25th birthday from Allan, Cherie, and Rachel. I had rented a limo for my birthday and all the guests had to bring a $1.25 with them. One stop we made was to Goodwill. I told the guest they could pool their money to buy me a gift but they could not go over the $1.25 limit each. Allan, Cherie, and Rachel picked out these champage glasses. I wonder if Andrew took it as a hint to get going on the proposal...a year and half later we were engaged! ![]() Now that I have a dress it was time to let the girls pick out their dresses. I required that they be from the same designer, same length, and same color. They could choose the style they like the best. Cherie hosted Brittany and I at her home in Port Washington for the weekend. We went to Eva's Bridal in Milwaukee to see what they had. We were so excited to find two styles that complement each other nicely. At the end of the day, we had opened an account and were well on our way to having bridesmaid dresses! ![]() Team Rose was ready to go! Mom, Patty, Cherie, Brittany, and I were super excited to go dress shopping. What a wonderful group to spend the day with! I felt like it was really my day and my team would do anything for me! We started our dress shopping adventure at David's Bridal in Appleton. We left after 2 hours with two favorites. We recharged at an unforgettable lunch at O'Charley's. Next up was the Bridal Event. Although the dress were beautiful...none of them were quite right. The following week my mom and I were shopping in Oshkosh. We decided to give Edith's Bridal in Fon du Lac a try. I called Brittany to see if she wanted to come along and of course she did. We walked in and I told the consultant what I was looking for. She had us attach clips to each dress I wanted to try on. She also said she was going to pick on that even if I didn't like it, I had to try on. After the second dress I put I knew it was the one! Nothing else compared to the way I felt and looked in it! My mom and Brittany agreed. When I asked who picked it out, the consultant rose her hand. I said, "You really do know what you are doing!" I went home and dreamt about that dress for an entire week. Then Brittany, Cherie, and I went back to look at it again. It is definitely the dress. I can't wait for it to come between January and March 2012! ![]() Getting ready for my first bridal shopping experience I gathered the essentials including the tiara my parents gave me on the 18th birthday. When they gave me the tiara, they told me they wanted me to have something they picked out together to wear at my wedding one day. They said that if one of them was not with me for the wedding I would have a symbol of their love to take with me. I have a beautiful tiara to wear on my wedding day and two loving parents to stand by my side! Thanks for always treating me like princess. ![]() Grandpa and Grandma Ponto gave us a unique engagement gift. They designed a large wooden heart and painted it white. When the guests at our Engagement Party arrived, they had each person add a berry red or lime green handprint to the heart. Each person also signed their name. What a distinctive way to remember the guests and the party. The heart will also serve as a reminder of the people who stand behind our relationship. The heart hangs on the side of our shed for everyone to see when they visit our home. ![]() Rose and Andrew are engaged at last!Come to a BBQ that will be a blast.
